The Median Iris Society has over 60 member gardens participating in the MIS Display Garden Network for 2011.  There are 3 new Gardens in the states of California, Virginia, and Washington that have been added in 2010.  There are still many areas that do not have any Median Display Gardens and we urge you to look at the list and see if you could be a representative for public view of our wonderful median class of irises.

     The rules for participation as a MIS Display Garden are simple:

*You need to be a member of the Median Iris Society.
*You need to be growing a “representative number” of medians,preferably in all 4 classes. 
*You need to make your garden available for viewing by those with an interest in median irises during your bloom season.
*You need to complete and mail (or email) in an annual report which is mailed to each garden by May 15th and should be returned by October 1st yearly.  This report primarily involves identifying those in each class which you thought were noteworthy in your garden this  season.

     To be an MIS Display Garden you do not have to:

*Be an AIS Judge.
*Buy every new median introduced every year
*Buy or lease another acre of land to accommodate your median collection.
*Accept guest plants from hybridizers for display if you have limited space.  But deciding to guest median iris can be a wonderful adventure.

     We need to continue our hard work of recruiting new MIS Display Garden members.  If you see a garden that looks like a good addition, ask if they would be interested.  They may be waiting to be asked. I would like to see us add new gardens yearly. If we make it the goal, we can make it happen.
